Matching Plants That Advance One Another's Growth

When I started gardening, I got obsessed with learning how to combine plants that would advance one another's growth. All I could think of was how to combine the thousand plants I wanted in my balcony planters. It was fun to wrap my head around that problem. But as my research proceeded, staying on top of things got more complicated. I started designing an infographic but thought of a more practical way — so I gave it a playfull approach and illustrated a card game. Allowing me to play this planting game every year anew.

Plant Quartett Use Case

The background-foreground contrast I am going for in my illustrations is not ideal for print. Therefore, I decided to enhance it with a spot gloss finish. It gives the dreamy illustration contour, and I love the pleasant haptics it adds to the cards. The haptics' impact may never be underestimated.
